The Birdhouse Inn has ten non-smoking rooms with king beds and double whirlpool tubs. Every room has a view to our woods, grounds and two oxbow ponds. Inn rooms are spacious with vaulted ceilings and beautiful handmade tiles in the bathrooms. Organic bedding includes sheets, duvet covers and quilts. Our comforters and pillows are made from Wisconsin sheep wool covered in 100% organic cotton from Kerry Hills Farms near Milwaukee.                      

Our Inn rates include a continental breakfast with fresh fruit, coffee/tea/juice, and bakery items baked fresh every morning at The Brickhouse Bakery + Café.

Sushi: Hands-on, interactive food demo!
Thursday, June 25th
6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 

Learn to roll your own sushi, make the perfect sticky rice and taste some sake! $25 per person includes the food demo, hands-on rolling, and sake tasting! Of course participants get to sample all rolls.  Recipes will be avialable to take home. This will be a tasty, fun, learning experience that anyone who likes sushi will love! Call for reservations as we have a limited numer of openings available.

Land and Sea Wine Dinner!
Saturday, June 27th
Beginning at 6 p.m.

Our monthly wine dinners have been a taste sensation: a carnival for your palate! This month’s “Land and Sea” wine dinner includes:

·       Amuse Bouche

·       Seared Duck Breast and Seared Ahi Tuna with a tomato, watermelon, avocado, and sesame salad with pea tendrils


·       Braised Wild Boar and Roasted Arctic Char with beets, beet greens, crème fraiche and horseradish
 

Thai Basil Sorbet with fresh strawberry confit

 

·       Wood Grilled Lamb Loin and Grilled Sea Scallops with swiss chard, fava beans, golden raisins and lamb demi glace

Executive Chef Brian Griep has created a memorable multi-course menu:

  • Amuse Bouche
  • Sauteed local ramps, garlic, and morels over toasted focaccia with herb butter and goat cheese
  • Prawns, garlic onions, fiddlehead ferns, morels, with thyme-raspberry vinaigrette
  • Intermezzo
  • Duck confit ravioli with morels, spinach, roasted garlic and curry emulsion
  • Grassfed organic New York strip with morels, asparagus, shallots with parsley bernaise sauce
  • Speciality dessert by Andra!

Wine is paired with each course. Plan 3 to 4 hours of tasting, drinking and merry making! Frankly, this will be a fabulous evening.

Thursdays: Sake-To-Me Sushi  Fresh, yummy sushi rolls and traditional sides. Thursdays from 5-9, with $2.00 local beer pints and premium sake available!

Fridays: Fresh Fish Friday A minimum of five fresh seafood options. Fridays from 5-10pm. Live Music in our Lounge or Café.

Saturdays: Prime Rib Not your parent’s supper club: Local, organic, prime rib marinated/smoked in-house with smashies and salad. Saturdays from 5-10pm.

Sundays & Mondays: Supper Three courses (selected by chef Brian) for $20. Sundays from 5-9pm.

With the passing of Valentine’s Day, which was absolutely fantastic, it is time for The Creamery’s annual shut-down for spring cleaning, including painting the Inn rooms and installing new equipment.

Valentine’s weekend was a great way to end our first season owning and operating The Creamery! So many people to thank for this first year including you, our special Guests, who by your support allow us to continue to do what we love: serving you locally-sourced, gourmet meals and providing a gathering space for your memorable events, weddings, reunions and parties.

The Vajgrt Family and our staff would like to thank everyone who has enjoyed The Creamery during our first season as owners.

The Creamery Restaurant + Inn will re-open at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2009.

Chef Brian Griep will be rolling out our new spring menu and we will have our first wine-dinner on Saturday, March 28th.

Here is a sample of our wine dinner menu:

  • Cows Milk cheese with micro basil greens, roasted shallot vinaigrette and pine nuts
  • Sea scallops with garlic butter, ruby red chard micro greens and thyme blossoms
  • Grilled red snapper and asparagus with morel mushrooms, brioche trimmings and parsley
  • Rhubarb prosseco fizz and lemon sorbet
  • Braised lamb shoulder with wheat grass and fingerling potatoes
  • Grilled Bison Tenderloin with charred green onions, pommes anna, garden herb and cabernet sauce

The dinner will be truly outstanding. We will be taking reservations for this dinner with a limit of 60 people So, please make your reservations quickly…we don’t want you to miss out!

Also on April 25th, we will be having a special guest for our April wine dinner! Chad and Janet Johnson (both former Creamery employees) from Walla-Walla, Washington will be featuring their wines from their Dusted Valley Winery. Stay tuned for more information! Again, this meal will be limited to 60 people - so, make your reservations early by calling 715-664-8354.

The Creamery’s Executive Chef Brian Griep and restaurant consultant Jennifer Lange have created a special multi-course Valentine’s Weekend menu. On February 13th and 14th, you can treat your honey, family and friends to delights, such as:

  • Lobster Bisque with orange zest and micro herbs
  • Flat Iron Steak with fingerling potatoes, wild mushrooms and truffle oil
  • Herbed Gnocchi with spinach, lemon and root vegetables
Of course, there will also be many sweets for you and your sweeties on our Desert Trio Plate!

We will be open for Inn rooms from Thursdays through Sunday night. We can accommodate you If you have need of more than 4 Inn rooms on Monday through Wednesday nights.

The Restaurant will be open from Thursday through Sunday from 5-9pm and 10am-2pm Weekends for Brunch

Our Brickhouse Bakery, Cafe, and Art Gallery will be open for Lunches, Bakery, Coffee/Espresso Drinks and original Art from 10-7pm from Thursday to Sunday
